A different kind of Thai tea

Sirilife Riceberry & Jasmine Rice Tea is made mainly from two Thai rice varieties rather than ordinary tea leaves. Jasmine brown rice gives the drink its familiar grain aroma, while Riceberry adds the character of Thailand’s deep purple rice. Mulberry leaf extract completes the blend.

The result is a mild, rice-based drink with a gently roasted aroma and none of the bitterness associated with a heavily brewed black or green tea. It is easy to drink plain, but you can also add a little honey or serve it over ice when you want a cooler drink.

What is inside each tea bag?

The packet lists jasmine brown rice at 49.16%, Riceberry at 44.26%, mulberry leaf extract at 5.60% and other ingredients at 0.98%. Each tea bag contains 3 g of the blend, and every retail pack contains 20 tea bags.

The front label also carries OTOP, Organic Thailand, GMP and Halal marks, completing a clearly presented Thai rice-tea blend.

Three simple ways to enjoy it

Serve the tea warm alongside breakfast when you want something mild and aromatic. For a refreshing afternoon drink, prepare it in advance, chill it thoroughly and pour it over ice. You can also make a larger batch using the same ratio of one bag to 600 ml of water, then keep it covered in the refrigerator.

Try the first cup without milk so the roasted rice and jasmine-rice aroma can come through. If you prefer a sweeter drink, add honey while the tea is still warm. A thin slice of fresh ginger can give the cup extra warmth without hiding the rice character.

One pack contains 20 tea bags. The larger options combine two, three or five identical packs, giving you 40, 60 or 100 tea bags in total.
