Brew Thai iced tea your way
Bring the flavour of Thai iced tea to your kitchen with ChaTraMue’s Original Red or Extra Gold blend. Each 400 g pouch contains finely ground Assam tea with sugar, flavouring and colour, ready to brew and filter.
Original Red has the familiar vanilla-flavoured character of Thai tea. Choose Extra Gold for a stronger taste and aroma that works well with milk and ice. Both can also be served as black iced tea or finished with lime or lemon.
Brew the tea first, then add milk or sweetener to suit your cup. Choose your formula and one, two, three or four matching pouches, whether you are trying a blend or keeping your kitchen stocked.
Choose your tea
Original Red is ChaTraMue’s vanilla-flavoured Thai tea blend. Extra Gold offers a stronger taste and aroma. Each option contains 400 g per pouch; multipacks contain the same formula throughout.
Ingredients
Original Red: finely ground Assam red tea 94%, sugar 5%, artificial flavouring and artificial colour FD&C Yellow No. 6 (INS 110). Extra Gold: Assam red tea powder 95%, sugar 4%, artificial flavouring and artificial colour FD&C Yellow No. 6 (INS 110). Milk and any further sweetener are added when you prepare the drink.
How to prepare
Brew in hot water and strain through a suitable tea filter. Add milk and sweetener to taste for Thai milk tea, or serve over ice with lime or lemon. For Extra Gold, the pack’s serving suggestion is 2 g per 200 ml boiling water: steep for 3–5 minutes, then filter. Adjust the strength to your taste and the drink you are making.
Pack contents
Choose 1 × 400 g, 2 × 400 g (800 g), 3 × 400 g (1.2 kg) or 4 × 400 g (1.6 kg). The tea blend needs brewing and filtering before drinking.
Storage
Keep in a cool, dry place below 28°C. Seal the pouch or transfer the tea to a sealed container after opening.
